Saturday was another successful Market. Not only did we have a choir attending, we welcomed back the likes of Moonshine Ice Cream, Coulton Mill Cyder and Cooper King Distillery.

There was plenty to choose from to stock up for lunch in the garden or for picnics on the go, from Wass Farm Charcuterie, artisan breads from Haxby Bakehouse and choice cheeses from Laceys, to fine flavoured oils from Med Foods and street food snacks from Really Indian.

Johnson’s Fish and Tancred Farm Shop with their home reared meats had you covered for those barbecue staples.

Flashback thanks

A huge thank you to Hovingham Bell Ringers volunteers who raised a phenomenal £1,069.46 by operating our Community Cafe in July, with proceeds going towards the church’s Bell Restoration Fund.

Supporting good causes

Our Community Café serves tea, coffee, hot sandwiches and cakes each market day. Thank you for visiting this important community fundraising outlet inside the Village Hall.

We also featured a guest stall from the community volunteers behind the Hovingham Duck Race.

The event was held at the bridge next to Hovingham Bakery after the market at 2.30pm on Saturday. One lucky winner received a celebration cake from the bakery.

Proceeds were in aid of Hovingham Playground and Hovingham All Saints Church.
